6.5a: Homeostasis – Thermoregulation

Wind-Chill Nomogram (p.260)

1) 7.0MJ m^-2h^-1

2)Feel  cool

3) 2.0 x 0.9(wind chill) = 1.8 mJ

4) A relationship between the wind chill and wind speed is seen to be directly in relation with each other as wind chill increases, so does the wind speed. Yet the wind chill is evident to decrease as the air temperature increases. Also, it is evident that a small increase in the wind speed could cause a greater increase in the wind chill when the wind speed is at a lower level.
